About
Community . Education . Art.
The Canadian Equestrian Arts Academy was founded by a community of individuals who recognized a need to create a space for people to connect back to themselves and their horses. Through the journey of learning French Classical Dressage, we ourselves found a deeper connection that went beyond the physical aspect of riding.
We found the value in surrounding ourselves with a community of individuals with vastly different backgrounds, working towards a common goal. The Academy provides a safe space for individuals to share ideas, learn, and grow together. With team members spread throughout Western Canada, we take accessibility to another level to meet you where you are at, in whatever capacity.
The CEAA is dedicated to preserving and continuing the art of French Classical Dressage, while also honouring the foundational training of the Western Vaquero. Students can expect to receive a comprehensive and immersive learning experience in the study of Academic Equitation.
Coaching and Lessons puts the safety and comfort of the rider and horse first. School horses are always in continued development.

FounderThere are two things you will find when you meet Sarah, horses and a community. The horses are a given, the communities are born from Sarah’s drive to collaborate and expand herself and the people she works with. The result is a highly supportive network that continually elevates one another. Horses are her passion, in all regards, the growth and expansion of the people associated with them is what she thrives on.
About
Sarah grew up in Southern Alberta. Her background is heavily influenced by the traditional western riding of the vaqueros. She has been studying and developing her feel with a hackamore since a young age. Her dream was always to become a cow horse training, but that became side tracked when she was introduced to French Classical Dressage. She saw the need to develop the horse towards functional movement patterns and how that could improve all disciplines.
Certified by multiple coaching, training, and equine therapy modalities, Sarah has spent her life studying the equine biomechanics and behaviour, training methodologies, and rehabilitation cases across disciplines and breeds. Her coaching reflects years of hands on experience developing horses and riders that are able to work in unity.
Sarah is the author of The Art of Mindful Riding. You can find your copy at most major book stores.
